About us
After working for 14 years in Dear Valley as a sea food chef, SEAN WHARTON purchased the Gateway Grille in Kamas Utah in February 1997 with his wife Rebecca.

The Gateway Goes Catering

With the huge success of the Gateway Grille in Kamas, Chef Sean Wharton quickly moved into catering. It wasn't long before the word spread and Sean was preparing meals for Presidents Clinton and Bush, Mitt Romney, Stephen Spielberg, John Travolta, Richard Dryfus, Tony Danza, Geraldo Rivera, Cheech Marin, Danny DeVito, Rita Perlman, and many others.

The Gateway Grille was built with the idea of having a menu that not only catered to fine dining, but also satisfied the appetites of hungery farmers wanting their chicken fried steak and mashed potoes. So far this concept has proven to be a home run for owners Sean and Rebecca Wharton.
